Generative AI can summarize texts, change the reading level, language, and even synthesize content for users in ways that may not help student learning. For this session, we’ll explore the landscape for how AI reading assistance is marketed to students, how to establish boundaries with students to preserve desirable difficulties in reading, and consider philosophies for approaching or resisting AI reading tools.
