Join the Ettling Center for Civic Leadership and Sustainability as we host our annual Spring day of service: Cardinals in the Community! On Saturday, April 11, 2026 from 8: 30 AM to 12 PM, we will be going out to our community partners to volunteer in helping them further their mission to support our local and global community! We will be partnering up with Headwaters Sanctuary, Towne Twin Village, the Witte Museum, the Healy Murphy Center, and the San Antonio Food Bank for this year's event!
Make sure to bring a bag to carry your water and snacks, and meet at your respective volunteer site by 8:30 AM! Breakfast will be provided, and the volunteer program will begin at 9 a.m.
Important Note: Registrations are limited for one site location. Below are the description and locations of our partnered locations for Saturday, April 11th.
Headwaters at Incarnate Word: (4503 Broadway St, San Antonio, TX 78209) Headwater's mission is to preserve, restore, and celebrate the rich natural, cultural, historical, spiritual, and educational values of the headwaters of the San Antonio River, especially within the 53-acre Headwaters Sanctuary.
The Witte Museum: (3801 Broadway St, San Antonio, TX 78209) The Witte Museum inspires people to shape the future of Texas through relevant and transformative experiences in nature, science and culture. As San Antonio’s most-visited museum, the Witte reaches a diverse audience of hundreds of thousands from within Bexar County and beyond.
Towne Twin Village: (4711 Dietrich Rd, San Antonio, TX 78219) Towne Twin Village's mission is to initiate and sustain a Permanent Supportive Housing community using Housing First principles for the most marginalized and vulnerable individuals in the San Antonio region.
Healy Murphy Center: (618 Live Oak St, San Antonio, TX 78202) The mission of Healy-Murphy Center is to provide compassionate service to opportunity youth by focusing on individualized education in a non-traditional setting, early childhood development and essential support services.
San Antonio Food Bank: (5200 Historic, Old Hwy 90 W, San Antonio, TX 78227) The mission of the San Antonio Food Bank is to fight hunger in Southwest Texas through food distribution, programs, education, and advocacy.

Parking Info
-The Witte Museum has free parking at the Brackenridge Park parking garage on Avenue B. -Headwaters Sanctuary volunteers may park near the baseball fields as well as around the park.
