Please join Dr. Monica Ayala Jimenez for this session, where she will share the feedback report from the faculty advising focus group and outline the 6 key insights into UIW faculty advising challenges and recommendations for shared strategies to improve the student experience. In Fall 2024, faculty advisor representatives from each of the undergraduate colleges attended a focus group to discuss the faculty advising model across the university and better understand how our students are served. The overall research question addressed was, “What advising model works best for UIW UG Programs and is effective and sustainable?”  Come learn more about next steps to provide clear faculty advising guidelines and procedures, standardized faculty advisor training and development of a central hub for faculty advising resources.
