Dr. Irene Gilliland, Professor Emerita of Nursing, and Dr. Briana Williams, Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice, are in the planning phase of creating their upcoming faculty-led program for students enrolled in health programs or interested in learning more about the U.S. and Japan's health systems, processes, and culture. Students will learn local healthcare practices, roles of pharmacists and nurses, levels of professional education, and hospital systems. In addition, students will have an opportunity to learn about the history, culture, religion, and cuisines of Japan.

This program is currently being developed with the intention of confirming the final details early in the fall 2025 semester.
