Our students often arrive in our classes poorly equipped to cope with gaps in their learning skills. One of the best ways we can respond is to help them make connections. Why is that so important? How can we do that without “adding” prep time or “stealing” class time? This session will share several practical activities that foreground how instructors can help students make meaningful connections with their peers, you, the instructor, and the larger university community to grow professionally, receive timely resources, and strengthen their sense of belonging.
