In this training session, you will learn about the key components of a Microsoft Teams meeting and how they work. Throughout this session, we'll draw comparisons to Zoom and look at how features and experiences may differ. We will cover the following topics:

 

  • Introduction to Microsoft Teams meetings: We'll provide an overview of Microsoft Teams meetings and their benefits for remote collaboration.
  • Setting up a meeting: We'll demonstrate how to schedule a meeting in Microsoft Teams and customize meeting options to suit your needs.
  • Joining a meeting: We will show you how to join a meeting in Microsoft Teams, including how to join from a desktop or mobile device.
  • Meeting controls: We will cover the various meeting controls in Microsoft Teams, including how to mute and unmute yourself, turn on and off your video, and use the chat feature.
  • Sharing content: We will demonstrate how to share content in a meeting, including how to share your screen, files, and whiteboard.
  • Collaboration features: We will explore some of the collaboration features available in Microsoft Teams meetings, such as breakout rooms and the together mode.
  • Recording a meeting: We will briefly touch on how to record a meeting in Microsoft Teams and where to access the recording.

 

By the end of this training session, you will have a better understanding of the anatomy of a Microsoft Teams meeting and how to use its various features effectively. You will be equipped to host and participate in meetings with confidence, which will help you and your team collaborate more efficiently and effectively.
