A retrospective solo exhibition highlighting the works of Wardell Picquet

Wardell Picquet: Across Time presents more than four decades of work rooted in observation and an ongoing effort to understand the human experience. Rather than seeking definitive answers, New Orleans–born artist Wardell Picquet uses the process of looking, questioning, making, and discovering as a way of engaging with the world around him. Through color, pattern, texture, layering, and the human form, his work moves between abstraction and representation while exploring the relationships between order, complexity, and experience. Spanning his artistic journey from New Orleans to San Antonio, Across Time reveals how changing materials, processes, and circumstances remain connected by Picquet’s consistent desire to observe, combine, question, organize, and understand.

Refreshments for the opening reception are generously sponsored by Bihl Haus Arts.
