About this Event
About this event: The Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word of San Antonio were founded over 150 years ago by Sr. Madeleine Buisson, Sr. Pierre Chiquin, and Sr. Agnes Buisson in response to the call from Bishop Claude Marie Dubuis in 1869.
Their ministry led to the foundation of Incarnate Word College which is now the University of the Incarnate Word. The student-led ministry, Agapao Ministries through University Mission & Ministry, and the Alumni Association are collaborating to host our annual UIW Women of Faith Luncheon.
The Women of Faith Luncheon invites all women and men of faith - alumni, faculty, staff, students, and CCVI Sisters to gather for a luncheon, highlighted with a speaker, prayer and fellowship.
Each year a ministry of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word is highlighted. This year ‘s highlight is the University’s Campus Ministry. Our current Director, Beth Villarreal and Protestant Chaplain, Bishop Trevor Alexander will be our guest hosts, as they start their 20th year in ministry at UIW.
As a part of the 2023 UIW Homecoming celebrations, our luncheon will be held Friday, November 3, 2023 at 12:00 pm in the CHRISTUS Heritage Hall of The Village at Incarnate Word.
General Admission: $25
