Emily Dow is an Assistant Professor of Sport Management. She holds a master's degree in Sport Management from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a Doctorate in Education from the University of Louisiana Monroe. She is also a Certified Adapted Physical Educator.

With over 17 years of teaching experience in higher education, Emily’s academic interests include adapted physical activity and sport, adapted aquatics, motor behavior, sport marketing and advertising, and technology-enhanced learning. In Spring 2024, she was selected as a Fellow for the Center of Teaching and Learning Artificial Intelligence (AI) Fellowship, where she has been exploring innovative approaches to integrating AI into health, fitness, education, and sport management courses.

Emily serves as the faculty advisor for the Special Olympics College Club on campus, supporting inclusive programming and student engagement. She and her husband, Jeff Dow, reside in Hammond, Louisiana, where he is the Head Women's Basketball Coach at Southeastern Louisiana University. Together, they have two daughters, Chloe and Helena.
